At Tonak, the Fourth Lake

It's a long, slow walk up the ridge overlooking the fourth lake. The altitude makes itself felt with every step till my ribs ache with each breath i take. The little cairns continue to dot the hill, as we scramble over boulders and scree to arrive at the top. Mt. Doom and Cho Oyu dramatically dominate the skyline over the frozen, sky-blue, glass-like water of the fourth lake. Note the shadows on the lake in the following pictures.
